Welcome to the Marisota girls blog. See what they've been up to lately.
Long & Lovely

There are so many reasons for wearing tunic tops! They’re one of our favourite styles here at Marisota, because they’re just so versatile! Wear them with leggings for a seriously comfy, casual style or add skinny jeans and boots for a slightly more formal style.

Here are a few tunic tops that you won’t want to miss!

Tunics with sleeves

If you’re not a fan of your upper arms then these short sleeved tunics are a ideal for you.  We love the angel sleeve style tunic – it’s oh so flattering!

Strappy sleeve tunics

There are so many strappy tunics around that you really shouldn’t miss out on! If it’s a real problem area for you then add a simple shrug or bolero to keep those arms under wraps!

Spring Trends #2

Our second trend is due to the influence of Prince William’s future wife. When they announced their engagement Kate Middleton was wearing a stylish dress in royal blue. This colour is now set to be one of the hottest trends in the run up to the royal wedding on 29 April 2011.]

This angel sleeve tunic is the perfect way to wear the royal blue look. Just add tights, leggings or slim jeans, a waist belt and some beautiful shoes for a style that looks perfect with curves!

Tunics – the perfect choice for winter

Choosing the perfect winter staple is always tricky, but I’v decided my winter “must” is going to be the trusty tunic. Tunics have long been a favourite in my wardrobe for a number of reasons;

  • They can be personalised to suit any shape
  • There’s a whole range of things you can wear them with
  • They’re lovely and warm in winter
So I thought I would give you a rundown of my favourite tunics from the autumn/ winter 10 Marisota range.

Autumn Nights

As the nights get colder we need to put more thought into going out outfits, these are my choices for a night on the town this October!

This gorgeous purple tie neck top has just enough sparkle for a night out without going all out on the glitter! It’s always good to add some colour to your wardrobe as the nights draw in as it brightens things up!

It’s best worn with jeans (check out our jeans feature ) and it’s only £40! Perfect for a casual but glamorous style.

These lovely purple flats are perfect for a night out, they look great and your feet will thank you for them being flat and their choice of width fittings (I know mine do). I love a good pair of heels but when you’re dancing the night away flats are just so much better! These are lovely and glam thanks to the different textures and they’re great for a whole range of occasions! Plus they’re only £25!

This cute jewelled clutch bag is the perfect accessory! It’s sparkly yet simple and keeps the contrasting textures trend going.  At £30 it’s a total bargain!

Finish your look perfectly with this stunning necklace and bracelet jewellery set! It set off the rest of the outfit absolutely perfectly and is a definite must at just £30!

Ciao

Top picks for the new season

A sneaky peek at autumn/ winter 2010

Well the new season is on it’s way and us folks at Marisota have decided to give everyone a sneak preview of the new season’s fashion.

I thought I’d have a nosey around and give you my top fashion tips for autumn/ winter 2010.

This mock wrap tunic is perfect for the transition between summer and autumn, the blue and pink accents add a summery feel whilst the paisley print in cream and brown couldn’t be better for cooler days.

It’s £32.00 – £35.00 and can be work in tons of different ways. just add smart trousers for a boho work look, leggings if you’re keeping it casual or add a denim skirt, tights and boots for a cosy weekend look (add a chunky scarf in a statement colour when winter rolls round)

This sweet and chic edge to edge cardigan is ideal for summer nights and autumn days. It goes with any outfit and even nips you in at the waist. The best thing is it’s only £27.00 – £29.00 and comes in a choice of stone, teal or black- perfect!

These stylish stretch cords couldn’t be better for the new season. With a stylish bootcut shape, side-back elastication and soft feel they’re perfect for casual wear. Plus they come in 3 lengths 31 inch (regular), 34 inch (tall) and 28 inch (petite). they’re even available in a wide range of colours including black, caramel, dark green, wine and chocolate.

As you know, no post of mine would be complete without some stunning shoes to go with it ;-)

I love these mary janes! Particularly in the red. They come in a choice of red, grey or black and widths E fit and EEE fit so you’re sure to get it right!

If heels aren’t your thing then you might like these chunky ankle boots! They come in E fit, a choice of black or brown and have gorgeous strap and buckle detailing!

I think we’ll be seeing tons of stylish ladies sporting these cute flat boots with leggings or skinny jeans, an oversized cardigan, waist belt and chunky scarf this autumn (well I will be anyway!)

Belt anyone?

Ciao for now!

Winter is on it’s way out but we’re not quite into spring yet, so Marisota have got some great choices that are just warm enough to keep out the lingering chill, but light enough to continue being a wardrobe staple right through to summer!

Get in the Garden! – More on this later!

It’ll soon be getting warmer, and I for one can’t wait to get outside! I love the barbeque season and the garden party style is on its way up. Get this look perfect by remembering our 3 alfresco dining essentials:

·    Colour – get the Spring/ Summer style with pretty prints, pastel shades and even full on brights. The perfect way to give your day a lift! Floral print is one to look out for!

·    Detail – Attention to detail is a must, whether it’s frills, buttons or a well-placed belt!

·    Texture – This season is all about floaty, feminine fabrics. Simply wear a light floral maxi dress with gladiator sandals for feminine chic!

Watch out for my “Get in the garden” post next week with tips on how to dress as things get warmer!
