Frills And Ruffles

Frills are set to be seriously hot this season thanks to girly styles taking the spotlight.  They’re a gorgeous style to drag you out of the doldrums of winter and get you looking forward to summer and cocktails by the beach! Don’t forget to check out the whole range at Marisota. We have gorgeous styles designed with you in mind so they’ll fit and flatter your curves!

This frill sleeve top is the perfect way to introduce yourself to the trend. Its fierce colour scheme and curve loving shape make it the perfect staple for Spring!

If you’re more of a dress girl then go for this print dress with lace up trim.

It’s a great look and will last for seasons to come, just switch to gladiators for summer and boots and cardigan for winter…. gorgeous!

Top picks for the new season

A sneaky peek at autumn/ winter 2010

Well the new season is on it’s way and us folks at Marisota have decided to give everyone a sneak preview of the new season’s fashion.

I thought I’d have a nosey around and give you my top fashion tips for autumn/ winter 2010.

This mock wrap tunic is perfect for the transition between summer and autumn, the blue and pink accents add a summery feel whilst the paisley print in cream and brown couldn’t be better for cooler days.

It’s £32.00 - £35.00 and can be work in tons of different ways. just add smart trousers for a boho work look, leggings if you’re keeping it casual or add a denim skirt, tights and boots for a cosy weekend look (add a chunky scarf in a statement colour when winter rolls round)

This sweet and chic edge to edge cardigan is ideal for summer nights and autumn days. It goes with any outfit and even nips you in at the waist. The best thing is it’s only £27.00 - £29.00 and comes in a choice of stone, teal or black- perfect!

These stylish stretch cords couldn’t be better for the new season. With a stylish bootcut shape, side-back elastication and soft feel they’re perfect for casual wear. Plus they come in 3 lengths 31 inch (regular), 34 inch (tall) and 28 inch (petite). they’re even available in a wide range of colours including black, caramel, dark green, wine and chocolate.

As you know, no post of mine would be complete without some stunning shoes to go with it ;-)

I love these mary janes! Particularly in the red. They come in a choice of red, grey or black and widths E fit and EEE fit so you’re sure to get it right!

If heels aren’t your thing then you might like these chunky ankle boots! They come in E fit, a choice of black or brown and have gorgeous strap and buckle detailing!

I think we’ll be seeing tons of stylish ladies sporting these cute flat boots with leggings or skinny jeans, an oversized cardigan, waist belt and chunky scarf this autumn (well I will be anyway!)

Belt anyone?

Ciao for now!

Get In The Garden - Plus Size Spring/Summer Fashion From Marisota

Prepare yourself for spring and summer with my garden party recommendations

Hi,

My name’s Jenny and I’m one of the Marisota girls (click here for more info about me!) , I love all things fashion (particularly shoes – and even more particularly stylish wide fitting ones). I’m here to give you a quick update on one of this season’s hottest trends. With spring and summer well on their way we need to prepare for the months of garden parties, barbeques and drinks on the patio. So these are a few of my quick tips for dressing to impress this season

These stylish spot hem pedal pushers are a perfect choice for spring; the ¾ leg is flattering whilst the spot hem is a great element of detail – a must this season. These would look particularly fabulous with this white cutwork gypsy top from Joanna Hope. It’s floaty and feminine but comfortable at the same time. The ¾ length sleeves are effortlessly flattering and perfect for if you burn easily, or to keep off the chill as the evening draws to a close.

Another fantastic option is this stylish sequin trim print skirt from Joanna Hope, wear it with one of Marisota’s simple camis (and a waist belt if you prefer) to get a simple, stylish look.

If you want to get the full on summer feeling then this maxi dress is ideal. It’s comfortable, flattering and comes in a choice of lengths so you’ll get your perfect look and fit!

Now as you know (or you will soon) shoes are my weakness, so where would my post be without some recommendations!

These Caryn Franklin gladiator wedges are some of my absolute favourites, these wedges are comfortable but still have a heel and have strap detail, plus they come in a variety of widths!

If you favour a flatter style then these Emotion sandals are perfect. They’re just strappy enough for smart occasions but are still great for regular wear, plus with their great range of sizes and widths you know you’ll be exquisitely comfortable.

Let me know what you think of my choices, or if there’s anything else you want to know. (PS. the mystery blogger last week was me!)

Bye for now

Jenny
