Summer is almost here, and we’re going to be spending time outdoors in our lovely summery outfits. But for some reason we all panic about what to wear when the weather hots up a bit! Here are some of our favourite summer styles that you can wear with total confidence!

Shorts

These stylish linen shorts are seriously flattering and work perfectly with sandals. Just add a summery top for perfect style! If you would rather show a little less leg then choose these stylish 3/4 length harem pants. They’re still cool and comfortable but offer a little extra coverage!

A dress has to be the most comfortable outfit choice for summer. We love this gorgeous jersey maxi dress and these cute strapless dresses. Both comfortable, casual and stylish for summer!

Yesterday we looked at summer office wear for those of you who need to dress very smartly for work.  now we’re going to be looking at a style that is a little more casual, but still smart enough for the office!

A short sleeve dress is the perfect choice, it’s cool, comfortable and flattering without being too casual. This Magi-Sculpt dress (left) is ideal, it’ll smooth our your curves without being too revealing, plus it comes in a choice of colours!

Summer is my least favourite time to be working, and not just because I’d rather be enjoying the sunshine. Dressing for work is so complicated in the summer, there’s a balance between looking professional, being comfortable and looking good – and it’s not easy! This week we’ll be looking at our favourite work outfits for the warmer seasons from Marisota!

Seriously Smart

A shirt is often the best bet if you work in an industry that requires formal dress, but if you have a bigger bust it can be difficult to find the perfect shirt. Jeans are such a wardrobe staple that we assume it’s easy to get a good pair. It’s not always the case so here are our favourites from the Marisota denim collection.

Bootcut Jeans

Finding a good, basic pair of jeans is a lot trickier than you would expect, there are so many shapes, colours and styles that it can be difficult to decide where to start. A pair of bootcut jeans is always a good starting point, this style suits every body shape and will balance out a multitude of sins. Going Out Jeans

Sometimes what you really need is a good pair of comfortable jeans, and they can still look just as stylish.  There are two types of wide leg jeans to choose from, simple wide-leg or a more casual slouch style.
These slouch leg jeans are perfect for summer. They feature a comfortable knitted waistband and relaxed style, so just add your favourite sandals for perfect casual style.

Well after a few days of gorgeous weather we’re starting to believe that spring has finally arrived. As such it’s about time we had a rifle through our wardrobes and dug out some summery looks. Once again the maxi dress is set to be a major trend. They couldn’t be better for summer, just add sandals in the day or heels at night!

These are our favourite maxi dresses for 2011

This gorgeous blue maxi dress from the Arlene Phillips fashion collection is perfect for getting the look for quite a few trends at once! Floral print and blue shades are both set to be popular this season.  Just add these comfortable wide fitting gladiator sandals from Isabella Cole for perfect spring style.

If your arms are one of your less favourite body parts, then you should opt for a maxi with a bit of a sleeve. This animal print maxi is just the thing, natural tones are totally on trend this season! You can even dress this look up with the addition of some high heeled wedge sandals.  These Grazia sandals are an E width fitting so they’re fabulously comfortable too!

Blue is set to be one of the biggest colour shades this season, it’s a fresh shade that is perfect for spring and summer. Here are some of our favourite ways to wear blue.

We love this gorgeous jewelled kaftan, it’s a lovely shade and is ideal for summer. Just add linen trousers for a crisp, smart look.

If you’d prefer something more casual then go for this blue beaded tunic. This muted grey-blue shade is perfect for both day and eveningwear. It’s all down to how you wear it! Wear it with slim jeans and flat ballet pumps for daytime or add heels and sequinned bag to jazz it up.

If you’re more a fan of green then teal could be perfect for you. It’s a seriously summery colour and suits people of most skin tones!

This plus size maxi dress is a perfect choice for summer! It has a flattering v-neck, wide straps and gathering under the bust. Just add sandals in the day or killer heels to take it through to night time.

Do you ever feel your least glamorous when you’re at the gym? I know we do…. but working out doesn’t have to mean neglecting your sense of style. It’s all about finding a gym outfit that’s comfortable but still looks good. It’s easy to find plus size sportswear that looks and feels great at Marisota.

We’re well on our way to spring and it’s about time we got some new shoes for the season, but choosing spring footwear can be difficult. Here are our top choices;

Best Boots

A good pair of boots is a must for any spring wardrobe. This truly versatile footwear can be worn in so many ways that you can turn them to nearly every season.  Boots are essential for spring because of the erratic weather we can get, if it looks like we might be in for a shower then put your boots on and you don’t need to worry!

This gorgeous pair of wide fitting boots is ideal if your struggle to find boots that fit your calves, of if you have wider feet. They come in a whole range of calf and foot widths as well as a choice of colours, so they’ll go with anything.

We love them in this grey suede finish for spring. Just add slim leg jeans, a skirt and tights or a pair of leggings.

Spring Ready Heels

When spring comes around it’s nice to consider slipping into some sandals, but the weather isn’t always on your side. These cuff sandals are the perfect middle ground, and what’s more they come in a choice of colours and width fittings.

We’re more than half way through March now, and here at Marisota we feel like summer is just around the corner.  We’ve been having a good look through our swimwear and picked out our favourite swimwear.

Best Bikinis

We couldn’t choose just one of our bikinis, so we went for two. The first is this gorgeous silhouete bikini set. It’s available in sizes 12 – 32 and has a variety of options so you can wear it your way. You’ll find the top here , the shorts here and the skirt/shorts here. It has foam padded cups for support, has a higher than average waist which is perfect for those of us with curves, and the skirt option is great if you prefer clothes that skim over your hips and bum.

Now our second bikini is perfect for smaller sizes, but who have a bigger chest. This simple bra size bikini from Panache is available in sizes up to a 38K. The underwire offers extra support and the cute bikini bottoms look great on curves!

Best Tankini

Now for our favourite swimsuit, it has to be the Miraclesuit. We love this silver/grey leopard print Miraclesuit; perfect for feeling chic on the beach.
