The weekend is nearly here so I thought I would write a post on what I’ll be getting upto, and give some recommendations for winter weekend style!

Saturday daytime – general relaxing

On Saturdays my family and I like to have a relaxing morning and maybe walk to the park in the afternoon. that means comfortable clothes that are also hard wearing.

This outfit is snug and warm as well as stylish, the Jeffrey and Paula Fairisle jumper is snug and casual but has a great figure flattering shape and a cute pattern. the wide leg jeans are perfect for any body shape and are great for just throwing on and the Nature’s Own boots come in a choice of wide fittings!

Saturday evening – dinner & drinks with friends

It’s not strictly a formal occasion but I still like to get dressed up a little. I’d go for something like;

The words “fashion” and style are often bandied about with very little thought to what they actually mean, but here at Marisota that we know style comes from within as well as what you’re wearing.  We all know someone who has a very iconic look, a style that is very “them” and more often than not you’ll class them as totally on trend!

Personality

A stylish outfit needs to suit who you are inside, on a good day! If you’re bubbly and love to be the centre of attention then go for brights whilst floral prints highlight you feminine side. If you find you tend to err on the side of caution and wear a lot of dark or neutral colours then add a statement piece to liven it up!

Dress to your strengths

Pick a few things that you love about yourself and play them up; if you have an hourglass figure then nip your outfits in at the waist, if you’ve an enviable décolletage then draw attention to it with delicate necklines. If you know there are certain colours that look good on you then try and wear them whenever you can, a bright handbag or statement necklace is the perfect way to incorporate some colour!

Be Selective

Fashion is an art form, not a rule book. We should all feel free to pick and choose our styles. Only wear the fashions and trends that you feel comfortable in and that you feel suit you. There’s nothing LESS fashionable than someone wearing the latest clothes but feeling horrible!

So ladies….. don’t forget style is as much about who you ARE as what you wear!

Choosing the perfect winter staple is always tricky, but I’v decided my winter “must” is going to be the trusty tunic. Tunics have long been a favourite in my wardrobe for a number of reasons;

• They can be personalised to suit any shape
• There’s a whole range of things you can wear them with
• They’re lovely and warm in winter

If you’re anything like me you’ll LOVE a good sale. The mid season sale has recently started at Marisota so these are my top picks!

As the nights get colder we need to put more thought into going out outfits, these are my choices for a night on the town this October!

After a few depressingly rainy days we thought we’d discuss our favourite items from the autumn/winter range for keeping warm and dry!
